Training

We offer private and group training classes as well as remedial help sessions, evaluations, and behavior modification/problem solving plans.

Classes

Training classes are limited to 8 dog/owner partners.

Puppy Kindergarten is for young pups aged 12 to 16 weeks. (Toy breeds up to 24 weeks). The focus of the class is to set a foundation for your pup’s education, including socialization with other pups, and learning basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it, walk on a leash. We discuss common puppy problems & issues, and we teach you how to give a home massage, trim nails, & clean your dog’s ears.

Beginner Obedience is for dogs 6 months and older who have had no background in basic commands.

Canine Good Citizen is for pups who have graduated Kindergarten, and adults who have graduated beginner obedience. Dogs learn to obey commands even with more distraction, do longer downs, even during human meals, go to a place when people come to the door, greet people in crowds, and more. At the end of this class, we offer the Canine good Citizen test to those who wish to take it!

Beginning off leash work & Agility Obstacles is for graduates of our other classes who wish to continue their education and begin off leash work. We take a fun approach to learning agility obstacles, and the dogs build confidence & self esteem! Your dog MUST be non dog aggressive to participate in the off leash work in this class.

Individual Training: We offer one on one training packages or single sessions for those who do not wish to participate in a class environment, or those who need tutorial help with a particular issue.

Training Board: We do not recommend training board as the best way to teach your dog. As long time dog trainers, we are confident we can get your dog to listen to US. The key is to get your dog to listen to YOU! This means we need to train You to train your dog. Most training board services utilize electronic collars. We do not believe most dogs require this device if you approach training with a willingness to put in time and consistency.

If you have already started training, and wish for us to continue reinforcing your current regimen while your dog vacations, we will do this type of training board.
