Because of our extensive doggie social scene, we prefer to accept friendly, well socialized dogs as guests. We will accept a very limited number of convalescent, aging, and solitude-loving dogs. If we are meeting your dog for the first time, we can best help plan your dog’s itinerary if you accurately describe your dog’s social status, obedience level, & special needs. Dogs are required to be current on vaccinations & FREE OF FLEAS! We do not host fleas at our Inn, and we don’t want any hitchhiking on your pet!!! If your dog is found to have fleas at inspection (when we pick up, or when you drop off) your dog will not be allowed to stay! We recommend that your dog be protected by some form of tick control, as ticks are prevalent out here in the country! Dogs who are coughing – which includes dogs who are making noises like they are clearing their throat – may have kennel cough and will not be accepted into the Inn. This is for the safety and health of all our guests, as well as our own pregnant GSDs/litters of puppies. There will be NO exceptions to this rule. We appreciate the fact that dogs often times behave differently when not in their own familiar home. However, we expect you to be honest about any problem behaviors your dog has been known to engage in. For example, if your dog is a non stop barker, please send us his bark/citronella collar. We want our other guests to be able to sleep! We appreciate our requirements being met…. We require that your dog have FUN, too!
